Development of a Web-Based Thesis Title Submission Information System: A Case Study at the Muhammadiyah University of Palembang

Abstract

The rapid growth of the world of computers has a major impact on the world of information and telecommunications. This also triggers the rapid development of information technology to provide convenience and convenience to support humans in their efforts to complete their work. The current thesis guidance system is generally manual, in which students interact and meet face to face with the supervisor in a certain time and space. In the process, students are guided by a supervisor appointed by the head of the study program. However, the problem that often arises is that students and lecturers cannot meet due to a time discrepancy between the two parties and ignorance of the supervising lecturer's schedule. In addition, to overcome some of these weaknesses, an Online Application Final Guidance was designed. This study aims to develop a web-based information system that can facilitate students in submitting thesis titles and assisting lecturers in evaluating and determining titles.
